The Las Vegas Strip is about 4 miles (6.5 km) from the STRAT to Mandalay Bay. Very few people walk all of it, and the resorts are so big that “next door” can mean a 15-minute walk. Use the walk calculator for any two resorts.

Realistic times

  • Bellagio to Caesars Palace: about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Caesars to the Venetian: about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • MGM Grand to Bellagio: about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Mandalay Bay to the Venetian: about an hour.

Crossing the Boulevard

At the big intersections (Tropicana, Harmon, Flamingo, Spring Mountain) you cross on pedestrian bridges with escalators and lifts.

Shortcuts and rest stops

  • The Forum Shops, Miracle Mile Shops and Shops at Crystals let you walk indoors in the heat.
  • Free trams: Excalibur to Luxor to Mandalay Bay, and Park MGM to ARIA to Bellagio.
  • The Monorail saves the long east-side stretches.

Tips

  • Comfortable shoes beat style.
  • In summer, walk in the evening.
